YeYe Productions provides a wide range of Afro Cuban music services. These include: 1) Live performances by the 10 piece ensemble ODARA, 2) Week long residencies for colleges and universities comprised of a combination of lecture demonstrations, master classes and performances, 3) Musical scores for film and television, and 4) Lectures on the history of Afro Cuban music.
ODARA (Live Performances)- This is an Afro Cuban “all-star ensemble” comprised of some of the most accomplished Cuban musicians in the United States. The uncompromisingly authentic sound of the band is built around the songwriting styles of master folklorist/lead vocalist Lazaro Galarraga, and pianist/composer/arranger Guillermo Cespedes. It is an ensemble dedicated to the authentic “Son”, an Afro Cuban musical idiom. This style migrated to the United States, and its African emphasis was somewhat removed, it became re-labeled as Salsa. ODARA is a powerhouse, kick-your-shoes-off dance band!
